Great Summer Fishing!

Awesome Women’s Fly Fishing Retreat
Wow! What a great time we had at the 2014 Women’s Fly Fishing Retreat to benefit Casting for Recovery. I had the great privilege to meet an amazing and fun group of women, all of whom became fearsome anglers by the conclusion of the retreat. We owe a huge thanks to Linda Good and Reba Brinkman for helping staff this retreat.. And an even BIGGER THANKS to Sealy, Georgena, Karen, Debra and Grace for the good times and for the thousands of dollars raised to support Casting for Recovery!!
Great Spring Fishing
Spring fishing is awesome! We’ve had lots of happy anglers on the water.. Working on designing a fun “competition” for a group of 12 signed up for a day next week. Life is good.

2013 Update
What a fantastic year we’ve had with great water levels, cooler temperatures and lots of happy fish. Our guides have taught more new anglers how to fly fish this year than ever before. And we’ve been so busy that we’ve just now getting around to sharing some of the many successes of the 2013 season.
In September we had a blast with the Music City Fly Girls club, a wonderful group of women from the Nashville/W. TN area. Over 20 women went fishing. One of the most memorable moments: A Fly Girl was just about to net a big bow on the W. Fork of the Pigeon when a huge largemouth came out of the shadows and ripped the poor fish right off the line.
We’ve had some great successes on the Cherokee Enterprise Trophy water. Check out these photos from a recent trip with guide Chris Grose:
Fantastic Spring Fishing
Wow. We’ve had awesome Spring fishing! Even beginning anglers have caught dozens of fish on our DH water. Had a great time on the N. Mills yesterday with good numbers of trout landed.. from a beautiful 7″ wild rainbow to a hog 17″ brookie.
August fly-fishing continues to be great!
Mid-August has brought mild temperatures and lower humidity, which is making for some very pleasant days on the WNC rivers and streams. Come out and join us for some excellent catch and release fishing adventures!
