March Fishing is Amazing

We caught this fish while fly-fishing in Western North CarolinaDr. Craig Chebuhar and son Owen joined us for 3 great days of fishing on Shelton Laurel, N. Mills and the W. Fork of the Pigeon River.

They landed well over 50 trout and hooked lots more than that.

Fishing Report – July 16, 2011

July 16: Cooler temps, light rain all day PERFECT fishing weather on the Davidson. Landed dozens of nice fish and thoroughly enjoyed the solitude of fishing the Davidson WAY below the hatchery.

Fishing Report – June 26, 2011

June 26:  great day of fun and fishing with Susan Sumner and her son Michael, who is already an awesome angler. A really great kid who DID NOT want to get off the water at Lake Logan.  Here’s what they had to say:

Dear Starr.

We had a perfect trip with you.  Thank you so much.

Michael is hooked on trout and we will certainly be in touch for another time.  My husband and daughter want to come next time.

Michael is making plans to purchase a rod and he went to Orvis and saw a poster with your photo and an ad about fishing for a cure….

Thank you for everything!

The show, which is being filmed for ESPN by Tulsa, Okla.-based Winnercomm Inc., features Joe Kowalksi, 48, of Cheshire, Conn., and Brad Beasley, 50, of Tulsa, Okla. They were chosen to be on the show, which will air in July, for their personalities and willingness to take the trip, series producer Jeff Murray said. The men and their crew started about two weeks ago, fishing in New Orleans; Jackson, Miss.; Guntersville, Ala.; and in Lake Lanier, Ga., before coming to Asheville. [Read more…]
