Tony (and Starr):I’ve been meaning to email you since our day in Cherokee. We both had a great time and learned a lot. I only wish I remembered half of it. Guess we’ll have to make another trip and spend another day with you next year.Thanks again. We’ll be in touch when we are planning our next trip to the area.

Starr, Just wanted to let you know that we had a fabulous fishing trip with Rick Wedell last Friday..  He was a wonderful guide, very patient, professional and informative.
We may have acquired trout fever!  Hopefully we can make a future date with him and be better anglers.  Please let him know how much we enjoyed the trip and look 
forward to our next fishing adventure in the beautiful NC mountains. 

Starr, I can’t thank you enough for Saturday. I had so much fun and learned a lot. It was really one of my best fishing days! Craziness the number of fish in that river and not even moving when you cast a fly. I’m surprised we didn’t step on any!  I’ll figure out the mending upstream / downstream on a case by case basis! The picnic just topped off the great day! 

Hi Starr -Thanks again for a great guiding trip way back over the Easter holiday – my Dad and I learned a lot and had a fantastic time. This is a totally new world for us, thanks for helping both if us get introduced to it. Again, had a great time. All the best…

Considering i have never touched a fly rod before, we managed to catch close to 20 fish including brown, rainbow and brook trout and a bass. Turned out to be a great day from what could have been lousy from heavy rains the night before. Thank you.

Just wanted to say what a great time we had on the river on Sunday! Benjamin was very happy, and loved doing some real fly fishing. Chris was a perfect guide – full of patience (especially important with Benjamin) and humor. He even gave us a quick drive through downtown Asheville (appreciated by me) and a stop by the Krispy Kreme shop (appreciated by Benjamin). Benjamin liked the school we were there to see, so we may be back in the Asheville area more often over the next few months. I hope we have a chance to use your guide service again.

We had a wonderful experience this weekend with Tony Brooks.  He did a great job explaining how to fly fish, showing us how to do it and then working with us as we practiced.  Thank you for providing this service to the community and sharing your talents.  I definitely think that my husband will be doing more fly fishing.  

My husband Gary and I had a fabulous time last Friday fly fishing with Tony. The site he chose on a private stream in Hendersonville was beautiful and full of large rainbow trout. He was very patient and encouraging with us every step of the way. We will definitely plan to do it again!
